Meet the new Hanwha PNM-9322VQP

Hanwha PNM-9322VQP

This Hanwha PNM-9322VQP multi directional +PTZ Network Camera which has recently replaced the very popular PNM-9320VQP, a very good solution to 360* camera surveillance whether it be a manned or an unsupervised site.

Whether it be internal mounted and suspended by a pole mount from the ceiling or externally fitted via a swan neck adaptor on camera pole, the camera looks and operates professionally and provides coverage from a single point where in previous instances a few cameras in various locations would have been considered necessary.

Breaking the cameras down, you basically have a single PTZ network IP dome camera underneath a circular camera housing carrying four additional static network IP cameras, all of which are fed from one Cat5E network cable which connects the manufacturers supplied HPOE class 8 network injector (Max 65W, typical 34W).

The PTZ is a 2MP fully functional dome camera with a 32x Zoom and all the usual camera setting such as WDR, D/N and audio in/outputs. The four cameras above this are all independent of one another and each position can be configured to suit the area it is being used to provide camera coverage to.

Firstly, the camera modules come in either a 2 or 5MP version providing an overall camera rating of between 10 and 22mp when considering storage capacity. The camera unit has interchangeable lenses which must be purchased separately. There are 2.4, 2.8, 3.6, 6.0 and 12.0mm options for the 2mp camera unit and 3.7, 4.6 and 7.0mm options for the 5mp camera unit.

Each camera has its own SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot to provide some local event recording backup if required.

The four cameras can be moved around the circular housing and are not fixed in individual quarters of the housing mount.

Operationally, the unit can monitor a 360* wide area simultaneously with the multidirectional cameras whilst the PTZ cameras is carrying out a routine patrol. Once installed and programmed the camera once set to the pre-set mode will enable the four cameras to be used to both view and detect movement in particular areas, the PTZ camera can then zoom into the pre-set position automatically where the event was detected. As the event moves into another static camera position the PTZ “tracks” the event. With a maximum of 60fps at 2mp and 30fps at 5mp image quality will not be an issue, although with no IR illumination some additional lighting will be required dependant on the location.

The Wisenet P Series cameras support a variety of video analytics including face detection, audio analytics and motion detection. However, if there is additional equipment that can also provide an alarm indication such as a PA button or till interface then each camera also has a single alarm input point and two further out points which could be used for a few things such as lights or sounders.

Installation is made easy for the four detection cameras as there is an analogue test monitor output and the costs of configuring and maintaining the system are also greatly reduced, while still maintaining the same pixels and high quality.

When considering installations in wide open areas, irrespective of whether it is internal or and external IP66 situations. The reduction in cabling, civil works - if external, plus mounting and housings costs ensures these cameras meet the designers’ requirements and are aesthetically pleasing.

They show the client, that the supplier and installer is willing to think outside the box and normal practice to provide an innovative solution to their needs.

A MEMBERS ONLY GAMBLING CLUB FOR THE PREMIUM PLAYER
by David Brock 31 Dec, 2020
A few years ago, before the conception of IP cameras the analogue camera was "king". Selecting the camera with the right lens which was able to identify the cards, money denominations, type of chips and the number of them was critical to the success of the surveillance system. The clearer the image the easier it is to satisfy any customer disputes and hopefully improve the taking on the table. The following blog I will concentrate on the roulette table however, the same guidelines and considerations also apply to card table. Over the years the gaming table surveillance camera technology has greatly improved with the advent of the IP camera over the original analogue models. The conventional camera position has always been in the ceiling from the wheel end of the roulette table. However, as the architects and designers provide casinos with increasingly more stunning backdrops and exceptional lighting effects it becomes more difficult to provide the surveillance image that the casino management need.
